Some called it a perfect storm, others simply called it 298 Mulberry Street.
From July 8th to the 10th we took over an amazing space just North of SoHo (literally a couple steps from Houston). We got all of our friends to drive from far and wide to show off their amazing work in the heart of the city.
We'd like to think it was a success and it wasn't just the free wine talking.
Any gallery show in NYC is a big deal, but when you have the whole space to yourself, and a space like this one - it turns into quite the party. Somehow, to our own surprise, we were able to curate the work of 6 Collective members and a couple of other friends in a way that made it look like we all worked together in one tiny studio. Talent certainly compliments talent and we were lucky to have a variety of young artists excited to share this space with us. Things were said, twirling sign guys from TaskRabbit were let go, autographs were given out and a whole lot of things were left behind - needless to say, we'll be doing it again very soon.
